Hi I'm Mike

I was born in Utah and raised in Ohio and Arkansas. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished graduate business school, moved my family to Texas, and started a job as a consultant in the healthcare industry. Life couldn't be better right now! I'm a wannabe fly fisherman. I love when college football season comes around each year but don't pay much attention to the NFL. My favorite thing to do is to play tennis with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is what it claims to be... the same organization created by Jesus Christ anciently, divinely restored to the earth after a long season of apostasy. I have received a personal witness from the Holy Ghost that I am a child of God, that Jesus Christ lives, and that the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ is real. In addition, I have received a personal witness that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God, that the Book of Mormon contains the word of God, and that Thomas Monson is God's prophet today. I have followed the counsel of Jesus Christ as recorded in John 7:17 and have learned for myself that the doctrine taught by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is of God. I taught that doctrine for two years while living in the suburbs of Campinas, Brazil. I saw the Gospel of Jesus Christ change the lives of many men and women firsthand during those two years. And that same Gospel continues to change and enhance my life.

How I live my faith

Right now my wife and I serve in our congregation's nursery. We basically watch 12 little kids ages 18 months - 2 years, teach them about God and Jesus Christ, have snack time, and blow lots of bubbles when they start to cry. It's been a great experience for us! In my every day life I just try to treat others as I would like them to treat my family. I believe that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father and as such, we have a divine potential. I try to take a long-term perspective on life and like to think I give people the benefit of the doubt.
