Hi I'm Samantha

I'm a "Jack of all trades" kind of person. I'm a hands on kind of person who loves to learn everything & am creative!

About Me

I am a lucky wife & mother of 2 beautiful girls! I work part time as a cashier, but my heart is into more creative things!! I love to cook pretty much everything is from scratch, photography, scrapbook, camp and go hunting! Right now my latest creative spot is making cakes! I'm self taught and it's been great!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but was not converte until later. I knew that my Father in Heaven was real and that Jesus was my Savior, but I still made some wrong choices. I wondered down a path that at first seemed good. I drank and hung out with lots of different people, but one night it felt really empty as I was traveling home from an event. I felt truly all alone. I went home and prayed to my Father in Heaven. I remember Joseph Smith reading James 5 stating that any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God, so I asked God. I was 25 years old and for the first time I truly wanted to know if what I believed in was true and correct. I told God that all I wanted was the truth of things. I decided to put the challenge to the test of reading the Book of Mormon and then asking with a sinser heart if these things were true or not. So I begain reading. It took awhile, but I prayed every time I read it and asked that I would understand what I was reading. When I had finished reading the Book of Mormon I knealt down to pray. As I uttered the words of my heart to my Father in Heaven I was overwhelmed with such a feeling of the truthfulness of these words and of Joseph Smith. It's something that happens inside to where you can not denie what you are experiencing. I know without a doubt that this was true and I made my own choice to follow my Savior more and to learn more of his teachings. This experience was about 10 years ago and I still to this day will never change what I know to be true. I found out for myself and I have been truly blessed everyday of my life. I still have troubles and trials just like everyone else, but having the knowledge of who I truly am, where I've come from, the love that my Savior has for me and a plan of happiness that our Father in Heaven has laid out, makes going through my trials easier. I find great joy in being a member the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Words can not truly testify of my love for my Savior!

How I live my faith

I teach in my ward and love it, because it gives me a chance to really study and research the topic in which I'm teaching. I've also taught the little children and man our they precious little angels! I visit sister's in the ward to make sure that they are ok and if they need anything. I make meals and give them to people who need them. I do this to anyone who needs them, even those not of my faith, because we are all brothers and sisters of our Heavenly Father! We try to do family home evenings at least once a week, but sometimes life is crazy, but it's a specail time set aside that we as a family can get together and just have our time and to build our families closer. I love to cook, so I cook and bake things all the time and just give them away! I'm so happy when I do it! I try to do my best in living what I believe so that my Father in Heaven would be happy!
