Hi I'm Tom

Born in California. Grew up in Cananda. Lived all over the US and ended up in Minnesota. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Happy father of 3 wonderful kids and married to my beautiful wife of 10 years. Love swimming, running, Xbox 360 gaming, computers, learning and family history.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but didn't gain my own testimony until about 17 when I started reading the scriptures and looking for answers on my own. What kept me in the church was the great examples of other members in my local ward, and the picture of the general authorities of the church hanging on my wall. I didn't know who they really were at the time, but felt something special about them looking at them every day. Now I have a strong belief in the saving power of the gospel to change my life, give me strength to do the daily duties of life, and bring me happiness and peace on a regular basis.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through spending time with my wife and children. With all the demands on my time my faith helps me prioritize my time to the things that bring me lasting happiness. At the end of the day I'm always happier when I can say "I made a difference for my family today" rather than "I sure got a lot of work done". I have served in different callings in the church, but my favorite has been working with family history. I still love to share the benefits that come from knowing your ancestors and the happiness that comes from seeing where you've come from.

What is faith?

For me faith is an expression of hope. It helps guide my actions on a daily basis and draws me closer to the things I hope for. A happy family, happy children, time with my wife are all things I hope for, and my faith helps me beleive the things I am doing will bring me the things I hope for. Show more Show less
