Hi I'm Lauren

I love art, horses, and anything old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to think of myself as an artist. I have a passion for creativity and new ideas. I am blessed to use my art knowledge in my everyday work and can't believe I get paid to do so! I enjoy fashion and sewing. In my spare time I enjoy looking at blogs and making new projects for my home. I collect vintage cameras, furniture, bicycles, jewelry... basically anything old with lots of character. I guess you could say I have an 'old soul'. I love my husband as we are starting our new life together. I love my 2 silly pups.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in a loving Mormon family. As I become older, I have a stronger understanding of why I choose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The choices I make in my daily life are positively affected by my faithfulness in the gospel. By following the gospel teachings, I have seen such joy and happiness in my life. I have had a great example in my life, my father being a convert to the church, previously being Catholic. His testimony and faith has been an example to me while growing up and he has made a significant impact on my life. Knowing how blessed we are as a family, that we will be together for eternity and see each other after this life.

How I live my faith

I have the wonderful opportunity to serve the youth in the church. We have so much fun meeting on Sundays, where we learn and grow closer to our Heavenly Father and once more during the week, to come together and have some good activities. Seeing how strong the young women are today has grown my testimony of the gospel.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Members going to church on Sunday dress in formal-casual attire. Women should modestly wear dresses or skirts that cover the shoulders and reach their knees. Men should wear dress shoes, collared dress shirts, ties, dress pants, and possibly a suit jacket. Children usually dress for Sunday attire as well. Show more Show less
