Hi I'm Colton Malone

I love to hunt, fish, sing, build websites and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 24 year old thrill-seeking, college student. Whether it's hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, climbing, biking, skiing or horseback riding, I love to be in the mountains every chance I get. I also love to create things and that is why I enjoy computer programming. I currently work at BYU Broadcasting. Check out our new sites, BYUTV.ORG and BYUTVSPORTS.COM!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the church gives me more than just a good feeling every week. When I go to church I actually learn principles that I can apply in my life and see the results of my efforts. The church teaches you HOW to be happy and it is up to you to put the teachings into practice in your life. It is that constant learning that I continually receive from the church that testifies to me that this truly is The Church of Jesus Christ. I believe God wants us to improve, learn and grow and so I would expect His church to teach us all to do those things and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Living the Mormon faith is more than just a once a week commitment. It is a daily commitment to the church, your community, as well as society as a whole. The church also provides its members with callings that allow them to serve other members of the church. I currently am apart of a group of single adults that plans activities for larger groups of single adults. My position allows me to interact with other singles and helps me to be aware of the needs of other people. As I go about my day, I try to constantly be aware of the needs of people in the church so that I can help to plan activities that can meet those needs or help others feel accepted in the church.
