Hi I'm Mila

I am an Arizona Mormon. I have eight children. My husband and I along with many of many of our children own a music store.

About Me

My name is Mila and I love my family! I was raised in a musical family with 4 sisters and one brother; we all played the accordion and worked in our family music store. When I was young I used to hate practicing my music and working long hours in the family business. But now that I am older I realize that learning the value of work and the discipline of music has blessed my life and helped me. Why did I need those values to survive? Because my husband John and I had 8 children; 6 boys and 2 girls. Eeeek! Talk about a busy home. I am thankful that my children were also able to throw themselves into music and work in our music business learning not only the value of work but how to budget and handle their money. It's a thrill now to see my grandchildren learning the same skills in the same business. I believe that music is the song of the soul. It blesses, soothes & comforts us during our sojourn here on earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Christ! I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and will not forsake me. He has a plan for each of us if we humble ourselves and put our trust in him. My children are all adults now and I love them. As they grew up each have taken different pathes. The gospel of Jesus Christ has helped me to know that this is part of His plan. Everyone has their own agency and the opportunity to make their own decisions. When my children were young I was able to "fix" everything, "bandage" a misfortune and make everything better. Not so when they are adults. Learning about my Savior Jesus Christ and his life teaches me how to love and minister to my family. As I serve those around me, I know there will be those in my children's lives who will serve them. I know that our mortal lives are a probationary time to learn, strengthen our resolves, become humble and CHOOSE to keep God's commandments and follow Christ. Wow! What would I do without this knowledge. I will strive all my days to show my gratitude to God for this knowledge that burns in my heart.

How I live my faith

I love telling others about the peace that comes from learning about Jesus Christ, his atonement and plan for us. I am missionary serving those who live around me. I strive to daily live my life with a smile, a kind word and love in my heart.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Mila
I believe that growth of the church can in part be attributed to a sense of recognition. When we hear about Jesus Christ and learn more about him we feel a warmth in our heart. It is an "Aha" moment. This is what I want, this is what I need, this is the path I want to walk. This is the way I want to live. By learning of Christ and keeping his commandments we will feel light, peace and safety in the world we live in today where such feelings are often hard to find. Show more Show less
