Hi I'm Wade

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Happy. Dedicated. Father of four amazing kids. I love the outdoors, swimming, reading, and spending time with my family and close friends. Between work and family, I'm working on a masters degree in Organizational Behavior.

Why I am a Mormon

My family attended church for as long as I can remember and were very active in the Methodist faith. That began to change when I was about 10, and we began attending a different church each Sunday. My parents obviously were not getting the spiritual lift they needed and were seeking it out. We began running into the Mormon missionaries everywhere we went and, ultimately, they knocked on our door. Over the months we accepted their invitation to attend church. Although I had attended church my entire life, it was in a very small LDS congregation that I first understood what folks were talking about. No grand mysteries. I began feeling converted from that first day we attended meetings, a process which continues within me now. I'm grateful that Heavenly Father's spirit helps guide me through life.

How I live my faith

I'm very simple and try not to over-complicate things. I find that simple acts of service help me to feel whole. In the church I am currently responsible for overseeing the teaching in the Sunday School organization, where we have some 50 youth and 75 adults in class each Sunday. It feels good to contribute and to serve others in this capacity. However, what I get the most joy out of is our family coming together to study the scriptures, pray, and spend quality time together. As we do this on a regular basis, the quality of our life is just better, and it gives us all the strength to move forward in what can be a tough world.
