Hi I'm David Stringfellow

I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. He gives my life purpose and direction. I'm an Economist and a Mormon.

About Me

Foremost, I am a husband and father to 4 wonderful children. My wife is loving and supportive; our family life is pleasant...even when the milk is spilled. I enjoy learning: science, history, mathematics, philosophy - rigorous thought is important. I play golf and tennis. I'm trying to figure out how to grow grass in my yard that will not die. Also, my colon is very mad at me for letting my immune system try and destroy it.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors joined the Church long ago, but I continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I found the Lord Jesus Christ while serving Him as a missionary in the Netherlands. Testing my faith and by empiricism, I discovered that God lives - He is my Father, He knows me, loves me, and is aware of my needs. This knowledge has given me great hope, confidence, and respect for the whole human family.

How I live my faith

I live in a wonderful community of saints. People who are committed to truth, believe in Christ, and follow His teachings. We meet each Sunday. In the past, I taught 5-6 year olds the beautifully simple and profound truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Now I help organize our Sunday School where we teach each other from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and all the Holy Scriptures God has revealed. I pray and seek communion with my God each day. I read the Scriptures; the stories from Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Peter, Paul, Nephi, Alma are as applicable today as when they were written. I listen to the living prophets and strive to follow their wise counsel.

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

David Stringfellow
The vision Mormons have of life is truly marvelous - to think, we existed before this life and we will return to that realm after our brief time here. This perspective gives me a great desire to do good with the time, resources, and talents I am afforded to improve this world. Everyone will have a story of their pre-mortal, mortal, and immortal life...some will be awful tragedies while many will recount their triumphs of love, forgiveness, sacrifice, obedience, patience.
