Hi I'm Robert

I was born in Canada, and have lived in Utah, Minnesota, Colorado and New Mexico. I currently serve my country in the Air Force.

About Me

I love to be active and enjoy playing most sports. I serve my country in the Air Force. I am thankful for the freedom I enjoy in this great land. I have a bachelors in sociology and hope to get a masters soon in education. I enjoy playing with my children at the park and going on walks with my wife. I really enjoy the simple things in life such as a nice breeze, a smile on a child's face and a nice game of soccer on TV.

Why I am a Mormon

The church is true. The power of God on earth known as the Priesthood is in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. There is a living prophet on earth today just as there was anciently. The church teaches others to come to know the truth through prayer and receiving direct answers from God through the Holy Ghost. I know that the church is true through asking in prayer and receiving an answer through the Spirit. Anyone that asks with a sincere heart and faith will receive the same answer. I love it! Living the teachings of the gospel has brought me true happiness in my life. Since I like being happy and having the truth in my life I belong to the church.

How I live my faith

I pray often, try to be kind to others, attend church, sing lots of church hymns and help others with what I can. I love to share the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with others too.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

If we have faith, then we will act upon the teachings of the Savior and serve our spouse just as the savior served us. He taught in a peaceable manner and showed understanding and mercy. If we can be peaceable in our family relations and always try to serve, then our marriages and families will be much closer together than they would be otherwise. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

As mortals we regard authority to do anything as pretty significant. Can you imagine getting a speeding ticket from the milk man? What about a God who is a God of order and perfection? John the Baptist who baptized the Savior had the authority to do so. Later in the year 1829, John the Baptist restored this priesthood as a heavenly messenger to Joseph Smith. I know this to be true. I was baptized by my father who held this same authority as it was passed along to him and I felt the spirit confirm to me that it was true and recognized by my Heavenly Father. The proper authority is very important to have. Show more Show less
