Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in California. I am a web developer, and love to be with my friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from California and served as a missionary in Utah from 2006 to 2008. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in July 2012, studying Web Design & Development with a minor in Computer Science. I love to play the piano and sing in choirs, and have also visited many countries around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon through my family. Many generations have been in the Church on both sides, with the earliest recorded convert being baptized in 1832. I have continued in the Church because of the blessings I have received, and my understanding of the Plan of Salvation, and the joy it has given me in my life.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as the Ward Clerk in the Tri-Valley YSA Ward in California. As a Ward Clerk, I am part of the Bishopric and do a range of tasks. These include, but are not limited to, the following: purchasing office supplies and church materials for the ward, organizing and updating the ward binders, counting the Sacrament Meeting attendance, collecting statistical information for quarterly reports, and printing lists for ward members as needed.

What is the Law of Chastity?

The law of chastity is given to help us stay morally clean. It directs us to have no sexual relationships outside of the bonds of marriage between a man and a woman, and to only have them with the person to whom you are married. It also directs us to listen to uplifting music, think pure thoughts, not view pornography, use clean and uplifting language, and not do any harmful things to your body such as getting tattoos. In whom should we have faith?

As Latter-day Saints, we proclaim to the world that it is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that we can be saved in the Kingdom of God, and He is the being in whom we should have faith. If we will do our part and diligently strive to keep the commandments, we can live with God again, because of Christ's atoning sacrifice. Show more Show less
