Hi I'm Christie

I'm a Wife, a homeschooling Mom and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a convert to the church, I joined shortly before marrying my husband. We have three children. I'm a stay at home, homeschooling mom. We love doing things as a family and enjoy being outside. I love my life as a mom and a wife!

Why I am a Mormon

I didn't grow up with any particular religious background. Around the time that I was in Junior High School, I really felt the need to explore different religions and churches, hoping to find the right one for me. I always wished that I knew more about God and religion in general. My quest continued until I was in college and working for a local bank. I had heard about the Mormon church a lot in high school, but (at the time) never felt like it was where I belonged. While working at the bank I became good friends with a few people that belonged to the Church and I also met my future husband. I expressed an interest in the Church to them and began taking the missionary discussions and reading the Book of Mormon. I knew without a doubt, while reading the Book of Mormon and meeting with the missionaries that this was the true church for me and for everyone. I felt the spirit so strongly and could never deny the truthfulness of the gospel no matter what.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example to my children, my family and my friends. We go to church every Sunday, have family nights at home and study the scriptures. I am also able to involve our beliefs and teachings of the Church in our school routine since we homeschool. This is one of the best things to me about teaching my children at home.
