Hi I'm Tia

I read Biographies. I speak Spanish, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and a mother from the Caribbean Islands. I attended a University in the USA. I enjoy reading books, listening to music, watching movies and current events, and chatting with my mom on the phone. An ideal Friday night for me is sitting on the couch, drinking hot chocolate, curled up with a good book. My favorite books to read are Biographies. My most favorite Biography was Booker T. Washington. I also love serving people, teaching, and loving everyone I come in contact with. I love all types of food. My favorite is seafood. If it can live and breathe under water, I'll eat it! My favorite word in the Dictionary is Integrity. I love the concept of this word because nothing is better, and more noble than making my actions consistent with my knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

Why Not! I became a member of the church because it has brought me a greater understanding of who I am and what my purpose is in life. It has also helped me understand my relationship with the Almighty. I can still remember the day the missionaries challenged me to pray to know if the things that I was learning were true. I accepted the challenged and the Holy Ghost testified to my soul that it was true. My life could not be happier.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities within the church's organization. In the past, I've served as a Sunday School teacher. I have served as the leader of the women's organization. I have also dedicated eighteen months of service in Pennsylvania and Utah as a missionary. I got to teach many strangers who are no longer strangers to me. I now consider them family. We are all God's children, thus making us brothers and sisters. I also love teaching the gospel because teachers tend to learn more when they are preparing to teach others. I love spending time with others as well. I learn so much from people. We all need each other, and others have taught me that through their examples I can be a better person in lifeAs I mentioned before, my favorite word in all of the English language is Integrity. I love this word because when I look to the Savior, He is full of integrity. He makes his actions consistent with His knowledge. He did what He said He would do. He said, "Here am I. Send me" He committed and kept His promise. I strive each day to do the same.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

TheI church knows that there are people who struggle with same sex attraction, but we teach that it is in Heavenly Father's plan for men and women to have relationships that we may fulfill our purpose here on earth--which is to multiply and replenish the earth and live in loving families in order to live eternally with God and His Son, and our families.
