Hi I'm Kerry

I'm am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am a divorced father of two wonderful adult children. I am a grandfather of two boys. My son is a Deputy Sheriff and my daughter is a university graduate. My father was a career Navy SEAL Officer so I had the opportunity to see much of the United States. I lived in San Diego, Virginia Beach and New Orleans. I graduated high school in New Orleans and joined the United States Navy right after graduation. I was a Davis County Utah Sheriff's Deputy for just under 9 years. I learned a lot about people in that position. It helped me learn to stand up for my beliefs in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also in my secular life.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the direction it gives me in life. I know my boundaries and my faults. With a loving Heavenly Father and the Atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ I know I can return to live with them when my earth sojourn is over. I also know that My family can be together forever by the miracle of Temple Covenants and Ordinances.

How I live my faith

I live my faith quietly. Most of my friends are of other faiths. I am accepting of their beliefs and standards as they are of mine. I have served in different callings in my past congregations. Serving others is the most rewarding part of Church membership. Service can be of many forms, ecclesiastical, temporal, and spiritual.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

I did not serve a Church Mission. I served in the United States Navy right after graduation from High School. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

I do not worship Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith is the first Prophet of this dispensation. Through him Jesus Christ re-established his Church on this earth. Show more Show less
