Hi I'm Ty

I grew up in Utah, I have broken the cycle of abuse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a single mother of 2 boys, and a survivor of addiction and abuse, have broken the cycle. After my change of heart and an amazing experience with repentance, I met my amazing husband. We were sealed in the temple. Since then we have been blessed with 3 beautiful children. After 7 years of prayer and sacrifice, my husband was blessed with the opportunity to adopt my 2 boys and we were sealed as a family. The last few years we have battled with severe mental illness with our oldest child. Which has been a devastating blow. It hurts to watch him destroy his life. As his mother it is hard to be an example, but it is one of the only things that strengthens me. I pray always that he will become strong and overcome his struggles with mental illness. Currently I home school 4 of my children. I love practicing my photography whenever I get the chance. I get excited about doing genealogy on Sunday afternoons. I am not perfect, but I do the best I can at raising my children. I enjoy the moments where there is peace and quiet to enjoy the happy moments with them. I love listening to my children laugh and play with each other. We like to encourage our children to dream big and accomplish their goals. It is fun to see their imaginations soar.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, but I have had my own conversion. I fell away from the church and was in a very abusive relationship at a young age. It was extremely scary and lonely. When I was able to get my 2 children and leave, I found through a serious personal tragedy that my Heavenly Father loves me and I was not alone. I was able to find him again and I promised to never fall away again. I was able to put my life in order and meet my current husband and get married in the temple. That was over 12 years ago. I have grown so close to my Father in Heaven through my trials and struggles. I'm not a convert so to say, but through my own trials, I have learned the gospel is crucial and I've learned I can't live without it. I keep the Holy Ghost with me constantly as a companion that helps me daily. I love my Heavenly Father, and I know that because my brother, Jesus Christ sacrificed so that I can be with my family again, through my obedience. I am eternally grateful for his sacrifice for me. I continue to have struggles, but I continue to have faith in myself and I am guided with the spirit.

How I live my faith

I attend our ward meetings weekly. I love getting to know the Sisters in our ward. I have a Visiting Teaching Calling and I love serving those sisters. Such wonderful Ladies.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. without the Restoration we wouldn't have the fullness of the scriptures, or the Gospel. We needed more than the Bible to have the full truth. Show more Show less
