Hi I'm Connie B

I'm a wife, mother, pianist and photographer. I go to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and love it

About Me

I'm a wife and mother who loves all music especially playing the piano, photography, shopping, eating, traveling, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but that's not the only reason I am Mormon. I absolutely love the gospel of Jesus Christ, it brings me so much hope and comfort. The teachings of this church just make so much sense- that you need to work hard to be the best person you can be to those around you and STILL be a good person even when NO ONE is around you. The teachings of the Mormon church are the same teachings Jesus Christ taught when he was on earth... so of course I want to follow Him!

How I live my faith

Being LDS is so spiritually fulfilling! I have the opportunity to be of service to those around me, as well as help out in my ward. I do that by visiting ladies in my ward each month to support and make sure they are doing okay, and also by teaching my 13 year old sunday school class the gospel lessons. I live my faith by staying active physically and spiritually, living my life to the fullest- not idling my time away, being a great mom and wife, loving all people, and obeying the commandments. There is so much to it but it all comes down to doing my best at following the example Jesus Christ set.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Connie B
I love the topic of baptism since I see that all around the world it is done so differently. It's strange to me that things have changed so much since Christ instituted it on earth when He lived. Like in Christ's time, mormons have baptism by immersion, where your whole body is under water. You can join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at any age but baptism is only done after age eight. I love that about it. At age eight the Lord feels you are at the age of accountability: where you can know between right and wrong. What good does it do to baptize an innocent child? The fact that I was baptized at eight makes it all the more special because I was able to remember it, learn from it, and be able to recognize it's significance. I conciously remember thinking, "my sins were just washed away... I better work hard to keep myself clean." Show more Show less
