Hi I'm Kieran

I'm a father, I'm a trainee teacher, I'm an IT professional and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father and I'm a Mormon. I work at a school, and I am passionate about the education of young people. I love spending time with my family, watching movies and camping. I'm currently studying externally at university too. I joined the church in 2005 and haven't looked back.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I became a Mormon, I was seeking for something, but didn't quite know what - and I didn't think it would be religion. My sister was already a member of the church and she had the prompting to invite missionaries to my home. The instant one of the Elders handed me the Book of Mormon I was overcome with an electric, burning sensation. I knew this was something powerful! From that point in time, everything good that has happened in my life has been influenced by the decision I made to join the church. The blessings I have received have been immeasurable. I've been able to start a career, I've married my beautiful wife for eternity, and have started an eternal family. To know that I have a heavenly father that loves and cares about me, like a dad cares and loves his son, is amazing. I am blown away by the saviour Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for me. I couldn't believe anyone would be willing to sacrifice their life for me, yet he did that. Just that small piece of knowledge has changed my entire life.

How I live my faith

I live 50km from my nearest meetinghouse. My family and I travel in each Sunday for church services. Although the branch I attend is small there is a lot of love, and also many opportunities to serve. I've been able to share my musical abilities with the branch over the years by playing the organ during Sunday services and I've been able to help in the youth program. I now serve as the Branch President, the leader of the congregation in Albany. Serving in the church means that I can show my love for Heavenly Father and for His church, and through doing so I have felt the true power of Jesus Christ's Atonement.
