Hi I'm Danielle

I'm a reader, eater, and a shopper. I'm a wife and mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and the mother of a sweet toddler girl. I love being a wife and mother. I enjoy cooking, reading, relaxing by the pool, blogging, and creating things. I'm so close to getting a bachelor degree but I'm struggling to make the time to finish my last few online classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family. I quickly learned from the good example of my parents that the more a person follows the example and teachings of Jesus Christ, the happier they are. I strive to live my life according to Christ's teachings and also the teachings of His living prophets on the Earth today. Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He sent his son to redeem us so we can return to live with Him. Heavenly Father also provided prophetic guidance before Christ's life and He provides prophetic council now, because He loves us. I feel His love when I pray, read the scriptures, listen to the living Prophets council, and as I strive to be who He knows I can become. I am so grateful that I know who I am, a child of God. I am a Mormon because I know who I am and who I can become.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every week! It gives me strength for the week ahead. I love the Spirit I feel there and it renews my interest in serving and loving others. I love prayer. I love speaking to my Father in Heaven. I know that as I ask Him for help specifically, He hears me and helps me. The scriptures strengthen my testimony of the Savior and His Gospel. I'm grateful for His example and strive to become more like him, step by step. Part of my church service is as a ward missionary. I spend a few hours each week contacting members and non members who may need encouragement or an invitation to attend church so they can be strengthened by the Spirit and by the members there.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

I love our Heavenly Father's plan for us. We are here on this beautiful Earth so we can gain experience and try to become better people. Our purpose in life is to gain happiness through family and friends and through faith in Jesus Christ and keeping the commandments of God. I testify that we can find happiness in this life and that it is happiness that our Heavenly Father wants us to have for eternity. Show more Show less
