Hi I'm Connie

I'm a mother of 5, a grandmother of 9, & a Speech Therapist. And I'm a Mormon. I love to travel & meet people.

About Me

Although my family has a history of membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints extending over several generations, my experiences as a child were somewhat limited by my parents' inactivity. However, looking back, there were people placed in my path who were key to my investigation and conversion to this faith. In fact, through all the twists and turns of my life, God's hand has always been upon my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Years ago, on the morning prior to my grandmother's death, which, although it was not totally unexpected, came suddenly upon her family, I was studying and pondering upon one of my most favoite scriptures: Isaiah 53. At that time, I received an overwhelming witness of how the atonement of Christ assists our repentance AND heals our sorrows, whether these sorrows come upon us through the death of a loved one or illness or the sins of others against us or any other means. Isaiah 53:3 describes Christ as "a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief . . . ." Whose grief is He acquainted with? Ours. Through my own experiences, I gained my own testimony that Christ heals our wounds. I received a witness that I can forgive others harm done, because Christ has already paid the price for those sins as it connects to my life. He has already carried that load; therefore, I do not need to burden myself with lingering pain and suffering. I can let go. I can be healed, and move forward in joy and peace. He is the great Judge, and He will take care of the heartaches of life. I testify that the great miracles of God are the healing of each heart and soul who comes to Him. There is no joy that compares to His joy, no peace that compares to His peace, and no love that compares to His love.

How I live my faith

Most of my service in church has been in Relief Society; however, recently I began a new adventure as a Cub Scout leader, and an entirely new world has been opened to me! In addition to service with in church, I am fortunate to have a career which allows me to serve children every workday. I love my family, and I have dear friends of many faiths. I strive to find the best and most beautiful parts of life. There are many wonderful things in the world, if we look to see them. The gospel of Jesus Christ encompasses all beauty and all truth.
