Hi I'm Colby

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. I root for the 'Devils! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Husband to a beautiful wife. Dad to four young sons. Career in accounting/finance. A huge fan of the Arizona State University SunDevils

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon by birth. Many of my ancestors were part of the early pioneers that crossed the plains in the 1800's. I'm a Mormon today in part to honor their sacrifice. But primarily, I need the solid foundation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to guide me in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best. Which means that I make a lot of mistakes. I try to be honest in my personal and business dealings. I try to be kind to those around me. I try to honor my covenant of marriage. I try to be a good dad to my boys. And when I make mistake, I try to repent.

What is being a Mormon like?

Honestly, sometimes it is a lot of work to be a member of the Mormon Church. For most of us, there is more to do than attend services once each week. With no paid ministry we spend a lot of time teaching and serving one another. Some sing in the choir. Others teach and mentor the youth. We clean our chapel. Etc. By serving one another members of the Church grow close together and become an extended family that we can all rely on. There is much happiness that comes from this family relationship we share.
