Hi I'm Cristie

I'm a Filipina doctor and full-time mother, wife and homemaker.

About Me

I'm a mother of five, with children ages 24, 20, 17, 14 and 12. I love to read, I love to teach little children, youth and adults alike. I feel fulfilled as a full-time wife, mother and homemaker. I make it a point to be home when my children come home from school. Supporting my husband in his work and in his calling in church is top priority for me. I find joy in practicing my medical profession to help the poor and the needy. There are so many challenges in raising a righteous posterity in today's world, but I'm confident that as I follow the teachings from the Holy Scriptures and the words of the living prophets the Holy Ghost will be there to guide me and help me know what to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised up in a righteous God-fearing family and was actively involved in community service so it was easy for me to accept the teachings of the LDS church. The Book of Mormon has truly brought me closer to my Savior that I have no more desire to do evil but to do good continually. I know that there is no other name given whereby we might be saved but Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life! I know that families can be together forever. I know that only by following the teachings of the Savior can we find true happiness and peace in this life and eternal life in the world to come.

How I live my faith

We live the gospel at home by having daily personal and family prayers, scripture study and family night once a week. I work with the Young women of the church and help them come unto Christ and live high moral standards. I also visit fellow members assigned to me at least once a month to share a gospel message in their home and to learn of their needs and how we can help.
