Hi I'm Aaron

I live in Utah. I love life! Being a "Mormon" brings many blessings and opportunities!

About Me

I'm a happily married husband and a father of two children and a third on the way. I have a BA in Computer Science and I plan on pursuing a Masters in Computer Science within the next year or two (by 2013). I work a full time job developing auditing software to help improve business management. I love to program, especially if it helps promote more good in the world and in oneself. I love to learn more about our Savior, Jesus Christ through repentance, daily scripture study, prayer, meditation, church attendance, service, and continual strife to keep the commandments of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a "Mormon" or should I say, of the "Mormon" faith because I was raised by my parents who are also "Mormon". I grew up learning the teachings of this great Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have found them to be true and inspiring. The teachings of this Church have guided me and continues to keep me on the path of righteousness, bringing much joy and happiness into my life, my family's lives, my friend's lives, and all the lives of those who also follow the teachings of the gospel taught in this Church.

How I live my faith

I strive to follow all the teachings of the gospel that are taught in this wonderful church. I currently am asked to help improve the teachings of Jesus Christ as a second councilor in the Sunday School presidency in my ward. I'm very thankful for this service opportunity. I also try to take the time to visit a few different members of my ward each month to see how they are doing and to share a message of the gospel with them (home teaching). But above all, Loving God with all my heart through faithful obedience to His commandments, loving my neighbor as myself, and service, is the best way to live my faith.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

As you study the scriptures, you will grow closer to God and be better able to live righteously. Scripture study will bring you more joy, hope, and understanding of God’s plan and your place in that plan. Jesus Christ invites you to “feast” upon His words (The Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 32:3). This means more than casually reading the scriptures. It means to study them, ponder them, compare verses, learn passages by heart, treasure them, delight in them. As you feast upon the scriptures, prayerfully asking God for understanding, the Holy Ghost will let you know they are true (see Book of Mormon, Moroni 10:4,5). You will grow closer to God. Your faith in and love for Jesus Christ will increase. So will your desire to do good and to be like Him. Show more Show less
