Hi I'm Danny

I'm a dental student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wonderful wife for a little over two years. We were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake temple. I'm working on getting into dental school and enjoy triathlons

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon b/c I've received a testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. There are a lot of things going on in the world and the knowledge that Christ is real and I have a Heavenly Father who has created a plan for me gives me not only strength, but an assurance that if I obey the commandments I will be blessed. I know I have been blessed, and will continue to be blessed so long as I do what He has asked.

How I live my faith

I volunteer as a spanish-english translator for Latin dental patients around the area. Really, living my faith is something I do every day all day by loving God with all my heart, and loving my neighbor as myself. As far as my actual calling in my area, I help new members.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Members use the term "testimony" often. For example: "I have a testimony of Jesus Christ." and I do When I say this I mean more than I think Christ is real, or even that I believe Christ is real. When I say this I mean that I know Christ is real. There is only one sure way to receive a testimony and that is by the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can bare witness to us of the truthfulness of the world around us. If we are unsure about something for example: is the Book of Mormon the word of God? we can go to God in prayer and ask him. He, our Heavenly Father, will send the Holy Ghost to confirm the truth of what we want to know. It will come as many things. Galatians 5:22-23 describes the fruit of the Spirit as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness... when we feel these things we can know have a testimony of the things of God.
