Hi I'm Matt
I am professor of Psychology. I am married to an amazing woman and have two incredible kids. I love to spend time with family and friends, watch movies, play video games, play sports, exercise, and study the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
Why I am a Mormon
I am a Mormon because many of the doctrines taught in the Gospel help to answer some of the biggest questions that I have had about life. I have always thought hard about these "big questions" such as where did I come from, what is the purpose of life, where am I going after this life? I have a PhD and am currently a professor which allows me to stay up to date with the scientific advances. While I enjoy staying up to date with this (along with being an active researcher myself), the answers that are provided by the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ are absolutely amazing and invaluable. I am also a Mormon because living the teachings of Jesus Christ has made my life so happy, and allows me to look to the future with great optimism.
What blessings have come through your faith in Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ brings hope to my life. Knowing that he knows what I am going through when times are hard, and that because of him death is not the end of our existence brings great peace to my life.
How I live my faith
Giving service to others is one of the ways in which I live my faith. Helping others is a big focus of my faith since our ultimate example is Jesus Christ and he spent his life giving service to others.
