Hi I'm Garrett Bodine

I grew up in Orem. I am going to Medical School. I am definitely a Mormon.

About Me

I am a the father of a beautiful little girl and excited to welcome a little boy into my family soon. They and my wife are my source of joy. I love sports but I love soccer the most. As a young boy through high school I played soccer daily, now I coach and officiate. Some of the injuries I have obtained in soccer have led me to pursue medicine as a career. I studied at Brigham Young University and applied to school. After a long expensive year, sadly I was not accepted to any schools. I worked to better myself and applied a second time. Now I have been accepted and will be attending medical school. I know that with hard work and faith all things can be accomplished.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am a disciple of Christ. When I first came to believe that Christ is the Savior of the world I was 14 years old. I had a very special experience when I prayed to know Jesus for myself. When I prayed God's Holy Spirit touched my heart in a personal indescribable way. I knew that God cared about me and that Jesus knew me. He has helped me get through difficulties, trials, challenges and successes and so I devoted myself to worship Christ to the best of my ability.

How I live my faith

I have a great life! I teach the youth in the teachers quorum on Sundays and do scouting and service with them on Wednesday's. We have gone on several campouts one of the more memorable one's being a week trip to havasupai. I helped to start the Special Olympics program at Brigham Young University and loved working with the people involved as coaches and athletes. I am not perfect but I strive to live my faith by being a person of integrity, honesty, and determination. In addition to attending church meetings I try to better myself through scripture study and prayer.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Garrett Bodine
My role is to be the best man I can to help my wife and kids be the best they can be. I go to work everyday to help provide food and shelter for them. I serve around the house by helping with laundry, dishes, and household maintenance. I and my wife are equals when it comes to raising our children. We both discipline, we both play with them, and we both teach them. We both organize activities to teach our children about Christ but I take it as my responsibility to help ensure that those activities are occurring. I should be making sure that my family reads the scriptures together, prayer together, and eat together. Show more Show less

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Garrett Bodine
Temples are used to unite families for all time. My wife and I were married for time and eternity by someone who was given authority by a prophet of God. The temple is a very sacred special place that can be appreciated by simply walking around the grounds of the temple. When i was little and couldn't go into the temple I would walk around the temple and it would help me feel peace. The temple is a place that provides peace and happiness. Show more Show less
