Hi I'm Braden

I'm a university student. I eat, read, play sports, and sing. I love spending time with those I love. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am currently a university student. I enjoy music, sports, and even studying. I love musicals, eating, the outdoors, and of course, being with family.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel taught within the Mormon church comes directly from our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know I can trust my Savior, and therefore, I can trust this church which he has established to bring peace, happiness, and salvation to God's children here on earth. Within the Mormon church, there are no twists or perversions of doctrine by men, but rather, it teaches the pure and unpolluted doctrine of Christ, himself being at the head of this church. I feel truly safe and guided as I follow the Church of Jesus Christ here on the earth. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I make my faith become a lifestyle rather than a weekly ritual. The gospel of Christ is about becoming and growing, rather than simply doing and knowing. It's about becoming the person God can trust to bless the lives of others. I therefore read the scriptures daily and seek counsel from God through prayer. I want to be my unique self, yet obtain the attributes true disciples of Christ have.

How does the Church finance its operations?

As a way to show both our love and faith in God, we give 10% of our income to the Church. This is known as tithing. Church leaders whom we sustain and trust then separate that money within the several organizations of the church. The money is used for the sole purpose of establishing and strengthening the church. It provides the finances to have activities, purchase public church material such as student or teaching manuals, it funds the building of our many chapels and temples, and much more. How can we be so willing to pay? Well, we understand that it was God that created this world, God that gave us our lives, and God whom blesses us with all the good things in life. In essence, we have what we have because of God. It is therefore quite humbling to give back the small portion he asks for. Show more Show less
