Hi I'm Ben

I'm a student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, son, brother, student, avid reader, news junkie, untrained music lover, photographer, nature lover, wannabe film critic, and history buff.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be Mormon because I can trace every good thing in my life to me and my family trying our best to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help people. The organization of the Church offers ample opportunities to serve. I have had the opportunity to do everything from pay monthly visits to a widow in my congregation to spend two years sharing my faith with people searching for meaning in life. To me, living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about serving my fellow beings, in and out of the Church.

What are some things that tell to you there is a God?

Although I don't believe there is any way to "prove" whether or not there is a God, I've had personal experiences that have led me to believe that He is there and that He cares. One of the most powerful of these experiences came while I was serving as a full time missionary in Arizona. During a particularly difficult and discouraging time I remember listening to a hymn about living in God's presence when I suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of peace and comfort. It felt like a spiritual "hang in there" and pat on the back from a caring, aware Father. This and other experiences are why I believe in a loving, personal God. Show more Show less
