Hi I'm Donna M.

I was an addict, an alcoholic and didn't believe there was a God. My life changed 12 years ago. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in the world so much that I thought it revolved around me. My marriage was close to being over, and my children were unhappy. I thought I loved the life I was living until the Missionaries knocked on my door 12 years ago thanks to my children who ordered "The Lamb of God," video. The very moment they crossed the threshold of our home, my life changed as well as the lives of my husband and children. Accepting the truth of why I am here, where I came from and where I can go after this life has blessed me with a now happy marriage and a sense of purpose in my life as well as the importance of motherhood. I now reach out to others in a way I never thought possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to its fullness and it is only through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you can receive all the blessings and teachings the Lord has to offer. I know that there are other churches that teach good principles, but I know the fullness of The Gospel only comes through this church built on all the teachings of Jesus Christ. I prayed feverently about it, and I have a testimony of it by how my life has changed and how I continue to grow closer in my relationship to my elder brother Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father. I invite and testify that if you kneel in prayer and sincerely ask Heavenly Father if these things are true, he will manifest it to your heart and mind.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending all of my church meetings on Sunday. I partake in activities that call for visiting the sick and those struggling with personal conflict. I am a teacher to women in the church and help with monthly activites for our women's organization which is the largest women's organization in the world. I practice what I proclaim to be: compassionate, charitable, loving and willing to serve my fellow man/woman. In our home we pray as a family and teach our children to be good examples to their friends and in our community. We adhere to the standards of our church which are very important to how we choose to live our lives. I am involved with women's issues and host an online radio show to increase self awareness. My faith plays a part in every aspect of my life and the choices I make.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Donna M.
By prayer, reading the scriptures and having faith that our Heavenly Father is real, that his son...our elder brother Jesus Christ, died for each and every one of us, and doing all we can to follow the example that Christ set for us. Show more Show less
