Hi I'm Rafael

About Me

I'm a second-generation brazilian who enjoys playing soccer, volleyball, ping-pong, and other sports. I grew up in a big city and since little I learned that the greastest feeling to have is the one of happiness. I feel happiness when living the gospel and also when spending time with family members and friends. Learning languages is fun and very rewarding for the fact that one receives the privilege to communicate with more people around the world and how they live their cultures. I serve as a missionary in the MBMission.

Why I am a Mormon

I think there is a time in life when one needs to make a decision in whom to worship. The scriptures enlighten our knowledge and help us understand that it is important to make that decision today, "No man can serve two masters... Ye cannot serve God and mammon" (Matthew 6:24). As I read the Bible and The Book of Mormon, my testimony concerning prophets has grown to a point that I know that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and that He called Joseph Smith to restore the gospel of Jesus Christ which would bring guidance to His children, during this mortal life, to learn what steps to take to return to His presence again. The confirmation of the truthfulness of these things came through prayer.

How I live my faith

A daily commitment to set goals help me come closer to Havenly Father. Having an eternal perspective of things has given me comfort, peace, and an understanding that we are not perfect but that there is a way to guide us to that direction which is the gospel of Jesus Christ. By DOING simple and little things I have come to realize that with God all things are possible as long as I trust Him and act upon my faith. A good way to apply this in my life is by sharing it with others, and each time that happens I am reminded of who I am.
