Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school teacher in Missouri. I love to listen to live music and go to concerts- any type of music! My favorites though are bluegrass and rock. I speak French and love to travel. My dream is to travel to Africa one day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a recent convert. It has been the most significant journey of my life. I have chosen to become a Mormon because I knew the Gospel was true and couldn't deny that. All my life, I had certain ideas and beliefs that didn't fit in anywhere. After reading the Book of Mormon and learning more and more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his Church, I came to find that there is a church that makes sense and is true through which I can continue to learn and grow all the time. Although I have faced struggles and opposition as we all do, I continue on this path of continuous growth and progression because I have felt God's love for me and know that this Gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I am so privileged to do service work in my ward and in the community. I think one of our purposes in life is to learn and grow in every way we can and the best way to do that is in service of others. I also get to visit and teach other women in my ward which is a great learning experience for me personally. The most important way I live my faith is through learning and understanding my purpose here in a bigger way all the time. Living the way Heavenly Father wants me to is the way I live my faith.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

The best way to know if Mormonism is true is to ask! Ask God through prayer if it is true. Read the Book of Mormon and ask specifically with real intent if the Gospel is true. You can listen to and be strengthened by other peoples' testimonies and teaching, but it's very important to know for yourself by asking God. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Coming to know Heavenly Father is something that has changed my own life. You can develop a relationship with him through prayer, scripture study, and increasing your understanding of his nature and his love for you. Show more Show less
