Hi I'm Larron

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I had to be converted even though my parents were Mormons. They taught me to pray, search the scriptures and follow the Spirit. I was reading the Holy Bible and came to 1Cor15:29. I asked my friends not of my Faith if that verse had ever been taught them. They all responded "NEVER". When reading the last two lines of Amos 3:6 I questioned how that would be possible... the verse must be an error in translation. The Lord would cease to be God if He did evil... BUT THE LORD KNOWS ALL THINGS (there I found a 'jst' footnote that told me to replace the word DONE with the word KNOWN. YES! It worked. I looked for more 'jst footnotes and found them. I was surprised that for the Bible being around 400-yrs that nobody before Joseph Smith had brought up these verses. I was even more surprised that he gave additional information where the Bible talked about the Book of Mormon. I WANTED TO LEARN MORE.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the Plan of Salvation and how families can be together forever. I learned of the RESTORATION of the gospel and the priesthood. I received the four books of scripture God provided us with in these last days. I look forward to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This is His Church restored and Jesus is still head of His Church. He guides the Church through his prophets just as He had in the past. Christ Lives! I want to follow him. The covenant of baptism lets me have a way to be forgiven and a way to overcome when I make mistakes. It gives me hope! I love the repentance process and the new person I can become. I have learned the ESSENTIALS for Salvation and I know I am free to make my own choices. I can work out my own salvation with His help. Christ is the way, the truth, and the Light.

How I live my faith

I was teaching the 12-yr-old class in Sunday School. But at the same time, I felt the need to share the gospel with others. Recently, I accepted the calling to be the Ward Mission Leader. Listen, people all struggle with life in different ways. The gospel brings blessings and happiness to families and helping others find those blessings is a great privilege. I work at the mortuary. I see people graduate mortality nearly everyday. I know that the five essential ordinances for salvation must be performed by the authority of the priesthood. Heavenly Father gave us the way through Jesus Christ. If these ordinances were performed without the proper authority, people would graduate life and not be able to continue on... they would be stuck. These are referred to as priestcrafts... people start their own churces and pass themselves off as holding the priesthood BUT HOW COULD THE PRIESTHOOD EVER BE OUTSIDE THE LORD'S OWN CHURCH. Ordinances performed by them could never be recognized by God. I invite you to come see for yourself what it means to come unto Christ and be reconciled in Him.
