Hi I'm Dave

I grew up in Nebraska, USA. I love my wife and 6 children, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 45 years old and live in Nebraska. I am married and have 6 children. 5 boys and 1 girl. I love sports, especially wrestling. I work in a factory and do maintenance.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined The Church when I was 21 while at college. At that time I believed in God but did not have a personal relationship with him. I had a few friends who would talk to me about their faith and it got me thinking about my spirituality. I remember making a conscious decision about my future. I had decided that when I finished school that I would settle down get married and go to church. I had not chosen a church. It was not more than a few weeks after making that decision that God found me by sending missionaries across my path. They taught me about Jesus Christ whom I already believed in, and about My Heavenly Father's Plan for his children. They taught me about the restoration of The church and the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They asked me to pray to know if the things they were teaching me were true and explained how I might recognize the answer to that prayer.

How I live my faith

I try to be faithful to what I believe and know to be true by being obedient to Gods commandments. I try to be the best husband and Father that I can be. I am currently the Young mens advisor for my small branch. I try to help the Young men develop their own faith in Jesus by learning about him and serving others.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Not any more. It is true that they used to. It is a biblical principle that was commanded by God but that practice ended with revelation to a modern prophet that it should not continue. See Official Declaration in the Doctrine and Covenants of the Church. Show more Show less
