Hi I'm Aaron

I enjoy classic Russian literature. My favorite color is green. And I love musical theater.

About Me

I'm a PhD graduate student studying chemical engineering. Studying aside, I enjoy playing the piano, running half marathons, watching movies with friends and having good, long conversations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family with parents that loved each other and loved each one of their kids for who they were. You could say that I learned from their example how the Gospel of Jesus Christ could bless my life. Now that I'm older and out of the house, I remain an active Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is another book of scripture about Jesus Christ. I have read it numerous times and each time I am reminded of God's love for me and all of His children. As I live by the teachings of Jesus Christ found in the Bible and Book of Mormon, my life is blessed. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite opportunities that I have as a Mormon, is to visit a few families in my ward each month. During these visits, I often share a message about Christ with them, but most importantly I am there to be their friend. I try to make sure that all of their needs are met. As I have served each family, I have formed lasting friendships. By caring for others, I have been cared for myself.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. I believe that there is a prophet like those in the Bible on the earth today. The presence of a prophet on earth is a sign of God's love because through His prophet God tells us of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God loves us just as much as He loved His children thousands of years ago. He continues to show us how much He loves us by giving us a prophet today. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

The purpose of life is to become like God and to return to live in His presence. In other words, we have this mortal life to give us experience and to help us return to God better than we left Him. Show more Show less
