Hi I'm Melanie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a BYU student, I love to learn languages, I LOVE music, I love my family, and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is here that I find peace, joy, happiness, a chance for growth to improve myself everyday, and because of the hope of having an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I recently returned from an LDS mission to Campinas Brazil where I served, taught, and helped other people to understand more about the love their Savior has for them.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Melanie
We believe that baptism is a saving ordinance, or, in other words, an essential step in our journey back to live with God. We also believe that God loves us, more than we can imagine, so He does not want any to miss the opportunity to live with Him again. He gives us the privilege to help our brothers and sisters who did not have the opportunity to be baptized with authority while on earth. We can act as proxies, or stand in their place, to have this sacred ordinance done for them. We believe in eternal families, and this is a large part of what makes that possible. Show more Show less
