Hi I'm Gabe

I'm a native to Virginia. I have a dysfunctional family. I'm a McMormon.

About Me

Age: 21 Family Status/Ranking: Youngest of 2, Two step-siblings, one step mom. Dad remarried to my step mom, who is Jewish, but we have a great relationship currently. My dad was a member, but is currently Buddhist. My dad and step mom are both social workers. My biological brother is just as stubborn as my dad if not more and it is really hard to talk to both of them about the gospel. History: Parents seporated when i was 7, almost 8. Divorced at 10, almost 11. Moved in with dad after divorce in 1999. Mom left for Utah at this time and came back in 2001 or 2002 maybe later. Dad remarried step mom in May 2001. Made decision to live with mom in New year of 2005 when I was a Sophomore and 16 years of age. Graduated High School from in June 2007 at 18. Stopped going to church because of work. Started attended Langley Ward in October 2007 because the ratio of Women to Men was 2:1. After about 3 months I gained insight into why people went to church. I went to church to become uplifted and enlightened and not just because it was a target-rich environment. Currently: Currently prepping for a mission. Having a lot of trouble with living like a missionary and it really sucks aligning my standards with God's standards for missionary living, but I know that I will be better for it. I want to serve a mission to spread the Gospel of Christ. Nothing more, nothing less.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Covenant. My conversion to the gospel is a good one, but I forget all of the details. All i remember is that Daniel Bateman, an Elder in the Langley Ward in 2007 made me feel good and got me reactivated in the church. I can't seem to find him though because I want to tell him "Thank You." Being Mormon makes me feel good.
