Hi I'm Karen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five, a newborn photographer and a convert to the church.

Why I am a Mormon

After my first son was born, I wondered what I would teach him about God and about life, so I started to study different religions. I was born and raised Southern Baptist, but church felt cold and scary for me as a child and I didn't have a lot of information about the purpose of Life. I began a spiritual journey that culminated in joining the church. My husband followed a year later. I remember reading the book of Mormon and being surprised at how much it taught of the Savior. I remember wanting to read it all night long and I couldn't wait to get the baby down the next day so I could read more. I found the place to raise my family. I found the things to teach my children a better way of life. Now my children have been raised with wonderful values and they have something to believe in. I feel like I have given my children a wonderful gift and guide to apply to their lives and their children's lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving my family, my church and my community. I also have a testimony of the plan of salvation, how trials and experiences help lead us to the Savior. I know my Father lives and that he is watching over my family always. I know we are sealed together for eternity, by way of the holy priesthood. We will be together forever and how else could it be heaven? Our Father hears our prayers and answers them according to our needs at the time. I can trust Him and His plan for my life and the lives of my children.
