Hi I'm Suze

Music is my life. Other than that, I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Happily married for almost 10 years to an American boy. I'm Canadian-born and raised, to immigrant parents from Uruguay, South America. I am a mom to beautiful girls, thanks to blessing of adoption. I enjoy a variety of things including music, singing, cooking, reading, writing, swimming and so much more. I'm a hairstylist by trade. I also love photography. I love singing in anyway, shape or form, but I love singing barbershop and I currently sing in a jazz/funk/soul/blues band, called Layered System.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were both converts to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a child I attended church and was baptized when I was 8 years old. When I was about 14 I lost touch with the teachings and standards, that the church had to offer and eventually I stopped attending church altogether. For years I wasn't living my life in accordance to what the church teaches. I thought I was happier living in a world where I could do whatever I pleased. One day our family was visited by the missionaries of the church and they showed us a video called, "Families Are Forever". It was through that video that I realized that, Jesus IS the Christ; that I had always known, but forgotten. It was because of the visit with the missionaries that I decided I needed to get my life in order. I knew I wasn't truly happy and I knew that the only way I could be truly happy was to go back to church, where I could be closer to my Savior Jesus Christ. I was 19 when I came back to church. I remember distinctly the feeling I had as I entered the church building. It was like coming home-full of peace and love. It did take time for me to be sincerely converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ, but I've never looked back. I am a disciple of Christ. I am joyful. I am full of peace. I am truly happy.

How I live my faith

I attend church on Sundays and once a month I facilitate a lesson to the women of our ward (congregation). I love to teach and share my testimony of Christ through these opportunities.
