Hi I'm Al

I"m a musician, a son and a brother, and a self proclaimed geek. I love to laugh, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a big guy who loves music. I am a self proclaimed geek when it comes to all humanities, and I love to learn. I look to teach in the future, either in religious or musical fields. After my mission I will resume college as a Vocal Performance student. I'm also a competitive yo-yo player. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first and foremost because I know that Jesus Christ is the living savior, and that he is my personal advocate. I know this not only because of what I read in the Bible, but because I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is true. It is a powerful witness to the world that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that through him all men may be saved through faith on his name. I also know by the same power that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that through him, Christ's Church, the same that he established during his ministry, has been restored. Because of this I know that God loves us the same today as he did then, and that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. President Monson is a Prophet of God. I know I'm sounding repetitive, but it is my witness to the world that he is, and I have come to this knowledge by the power of the Holy Ghost. If we really want to know, and we have pure intentions when we ask God for truth with faith in Christ, we will know what is right by the power of the Holy Ghost. This is what has happened for me, and I know it can happen for everyone. If God will answer a prayer coming from someone as flawed as myself, surely he will work with all that will come to him through prayer and faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following Christ and loving him. I seek to love others as he loves me.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Al
The Book of Mormon was written by prophets, or men that God had called to teach his people, anciently on the American Continent. These people taught about Jesus Christ and his teachings, helping the people develop faith in him. These teachings were recorded on gold plates and were buried in New York. Joseph Smith was led to these plates by one of the principle authors of the book, Moroni, now a ressurected being, and through the gift and power of God, was able to translate them. I suppose the long and short of it is that the Book of Mormon was written by many different people, just as the bible, and was translated by Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
