Hi I'm Daniel

I'm a husband, a father, a manager, a gardener, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have taken the challenge of raising 3 wonderful children together. It is hard work, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else I could have.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that God answers prayers and guides us individually. I feel His guidance and help each day and I feel that being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the greatest blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I've been thinking a lot about the Savior's commandment that we love one another. To live my religion, I look for ways to treat others with love and respect.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Daniel
To live by faith while experiencing opposition. To learn how to choose the good even when we are tempted by evil. Sometimes I get upset when things are hard, but I try to remember Revelation 3:21 "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." How is the Book of Mormon different from the Bible? How did Joseph Smith obtain the “golden plates” or Book of Mormon?

Daniel
The Lord states his reason for giving us the Book of Mormon: "And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one work ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another;...Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible, ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written." 2 Nephi 29:9-10. God speaks to all His children. The Book of Mormon is simply Gods word to people that lived in America instead of those that lived in Jerusalem and Israel. Some of the pharisees and scribes in Jesus' time had a hard time accepting the idea that there was revelation beyond the Old Testament. Likewise, today, some struggle with the idea that there is more than the Old and New Testament. But, if you will read The Book of Mormon and ask God to guide you, you can know for yourself that it is true. Show more Show less
