Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a college student, enthusiastic about life and the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy life very much. I have a loving and kind family who I supports me in everything I do. I am currently going to college to study Excersice Science and Sports Medicine. I participate in many sports and love the outdoors. I grew up in Oregon and adore all the green trees and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it is true. I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and my brother Jesus Christ. I cannot deny this. He is always there with outstretched arms waiting for me to return to Him. I know He loves everyone, even though at times I feel like I am not worthy for His love. I know there is always a way back to Him and He is pleading for us to return. He directs my life when I trust in Him in faith. He will never forsake me. He has an incredible plan for each of us. We are His children and His love for each of us is far greater than any love imaginable. I know this is true because I feel it. I feel it everytime I read the scriptures or say my prayers. He only wants what is best for me. He has guided me through tough things. Things that have left me feeling truly alone and broken. But as I prayed to Him I felt His love. I did not feel alone anymore. I knew that I am His child and I can find forgiveness through my Savior's atonement. I know that our Lord, Jesus Christ, has felt all of my pains and sufferings and would never ever forsake me. I know He took on the sin's of the world. He knows exactly what I am going through. I have felt these truths. I know of these truths. I have experienced these truths. I cannot deny the truth.

How I live my faith

In my hometown there were not many people of my faith. I have had to be a good example of my religion by the way I act and the things I say. Many people had misconceptions about the church and it's teachings, so I am lucky and blessed to be there to help them understand the truth. I believe in accepting everyone and embracing differences. I know everyone is a child of God and to not judge them and their past. I try my hardest to show my love for others by being someone they can come to in times of need. I support my church by volunteering to serve families in need and being someone that others can call on for help at anytime.

What is being a Mormon like?

Lindsey
I love being a member of the Mormon Church! Everything that I see in life fits so perfectly with it's teachings and beliefs. I am so blessed to know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after this life. The greatest joy I have is to have a personal relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so happy to know that I can be forgiven for all the bad things I have done because He performed the atonement for me and all of God's children. I love how the church sees the beauty in life and the people are very positive and loving. The people all strive to serve others wholeheartedly. My life has been changed as I follow the Church's teachings because I have found true happiness and peace from it. I know that I am doing my best and the Lord can make up for my shortcomings. I like to share my beliefs with others because of the happiness I have gotten from it's truths. Show more Show less

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Lindsey
A testimony is a testiment that you know the truth of something. It's often the testiment of the truth of doctrines that the church teaches. For example, I personally know that the Book of Mormon is true because as I read it and pray I get this strong good feeling that is hard to explain. Somehow from this feeling I know it is truth. I know of this truth so strongly that I could never say the Book of Mormon is false. Show more Show less
