Hi I'm Paul
I grew up in Billings, Montana. I love my wife and six kids, music, soccer, and computers. I'm a Mormon.
I am a family guy. I just love spending time with my family. No time in life is better than rolling on the floor with the children, tickling them, laughing and having fun. Hiking, swimming, canoeing, and camping with the family are highlights of my life. Weekly dates with my wife and candle light dinners are a must. We have three beautiful daughters and three handsome sons who keep us constantly on our toes. Our oldest daughter passed away just two weeks before she turned 13. She is deeply missed but I know that I will see her again. I love music and enjoy singing as a family around the piano, singing at the nursing homes, or just getting out the musical instruments and playing a lively tune. Music truly makes our house a home.
I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in a wonderful family. I served a mission for the Church in Washington DC and helped bring a number of my brothers and sisters unto Christ. Yet this is not the reason that I am a Mormon. Being raised in a certain faith did not define who I am or my beliefs. It helps set the corner stone but the rest was up to me. I had to find out for myself what is true and what is not. I am a Mormon because I have followed the counsel give by the ancient prophet Moroni, "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Moroni 10: 4-5). I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and know that it is a true book of scripture written by prophets of old. I have prayed to know if there is a living prophet on the earth today and know that President Thomas S. Monson is that Prophet and that he has been called of God. I am a Mormon because Heavenly Father answered my prayers and let me know that that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's restored church on the earth.
My faith is who I am. Everything I do each day tells others that I am a Mormon. I live my faith by dealing honestly with all I come in contact with. I live my faith by by cheerfully submitting myself to all things that the Lord deems fit to bestow upon me and my family. This is not always easy at the time but always makes life easier in the long run. I have the great opportunity right now to work with the missionaries working in our area. Their faith and good works encourage and help me to strive to be a better person. Working with them builds my faith in our Savior and His great plan of salvation.
