Hi I'm David

I love adventure, I'm ordinary, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up with five older sisters, yeah I know crazy, and a wonderful pair of parents. There is little that I love more than them. In a nut shell my life is ordinary and simple. I love nature, doodling, and my family. In some ways I am still a kid; I still play make-believe and like to think of life as one big epic adventure; a good story with a dragon a hero and a princess still catches my eye. I love to dream and my best dreams are becoming a father, a husband and a good example of Jesus Christ. I am overly positive and have great hope for the future. At the root of things in my life is Christ and all these funny dreams and hobbies are only background colors. The Gospel gives me perspective and hope in this whole adventure we call life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. Some might think I've been brainwashed or only follow because of my parents.Good argument but your wrong. One thing I know for certain is that God answers prayers and he has done that for me. Sometimes in life I have my questions and my doubts but I can always go back to those experiences when the Lord spoke to me. There is no greater witness than the testimony of the Spirit.

How I live my faith

The best way I show my faith is by being obedient to what the Lord asks. I show God I love Him by keeping His commandments. I try to love. Not just my family but the man who cuts you off and the frequent stranger on the street. In all it's following Jesus Christ's example.

What is being a Mormon like?

David
I will not lie it can be tough. But the blessings and the knowledge you gain are worth it all. I would not trade my membership for all the treasures and wealth this world holds. Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

David
Baptism is a covenant or a two way promise between us and God. We promise to follow Jesus Christ and keep His commandments while God promises to wash away our sins and gives us the Holy Ghost as our constant companion.  Show more Show less
