Hi I'm Hannah.

I'm a journalist, an artist and a wife. I consider myself an optimist, and I'm loving life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm a California girl, married to a Florida boy, living in Oklahoma. We currently live in Norman, Okla. where my husband is attending school studying sociology. I spend my time working as the arts and entertainment editor at our local paper. If I'm not doing that, I'm spending time on my two callings: Young Women's second counselor and girls camp director. I also direct public relations efforts for Segullah, a literary and art journal/blog for LDS women. Without a doubt, my passion is in all things creativity — writing, photography, music, arts and crafts. I love creating uplifting things, in my personal and professional life, that help others grow closer to Jesus Christ. I'm still uncertain of where life will take us, but we're both certainly excited for the adventure ahead. Feel free to follow my blog to get to know more about me!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the church, but had parents who taught me to critically think and question things for myself. I have been blessed to have the benefits of both a strong pioneer heritage and faith on my mother's side, and the skepticism of a convert from my father. I read the Book of Mormon when I was 12 years old to discover for myself if it was true. Since then I have continued to recognize the Lord's hand in my life, and the truthfullness of the gospel as I endure trials and question things for myself. I know the Lord loves us as individuals and has given us a Savior to allow us to return to live with Him. I also know the Lord has restored the fullness of the gospel, as Christ taught it, here on the earth today...and I couldn't be more grateful. As I have lived the gospel, I have been able to test for myself the truthfullness of the gospel. As I live the principles taught, I am able to more clearly see the Lord's will for me, and I feel my relationship with Christ strengthen.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my ward as the Young Women's second counselor. My husband, Nathaniel, is the Young Men's second counselor. We love the youth and are passionate about helping them develop a solid spiritual foundation for the future.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Mormons believe that the family is ordained of God and is at the very foundation of the gospel and society. We believe that families can be eternal. We also believe every person is a spirit son or daughter of God. Show more Show less
