Hi I'm Crystal

I have lived all over the US. We home school our children while serving in the church and pursuing a writing career.

About Me

"Mommy" is not the title I envisioned for myself. "Actress", "Writer", "Musician", any of those would have done. But truth is, "mommy" has become the most rewarding and demanding of professions. We home school and spend our spare time in the pursuit of silly things, like oh, a career.

Why I am a Mormon

If the church hadn't found me, I'd have found it. That simple. My relationship with God and family revolves around the teachings of the gospel: selflessness, faith, hope, and persistence in all things worth while. Truth is truth. The Lord loves us, and I, through the gospel, have a fuller understanding of how his plan works, why we're here, and where we're going.

How I live my faith

My primary service is to my husband and children. Beyond that, I teach a special needs child each Sunday, arrange special musical numbers for our worship, and direct our choir.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

First of all, the nickname "Mormon", comes from the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. The emphasis is placed here on Jesus Christ. The official name of the church is, The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. As its names states, this church is Christ's. We believe in Christ. We talk of Christ. We teach of Christ. Fundamentally, we try to live our lives in accordance with his will, which includes many facets of the gospel. Where we stand apart is on revelation. I don't believe God has ceased to communicate with man. Do you? I hear his gentle whisperings on a daily basis. I feel his love through times of tragedy and suffering. I know he loves and watches over us. Then wouldn't it only seem natural that he would want to communicate with us? As any loving parent, he does reach out. In addition to personal inspiration, His prophet is on the earth, his mouth piece--as real and true as Moses, or Samuel. We invite all to read or listen to the words of a modern prophet, and then ask God himself if this is his servant on the earth. Show more Show less
