Hi I'm Martha
I'm a Mormon. I was born and raised in Southern California.
I've been married for 41 years. My husband and I have seven children. I also have 13 grandchildren. I enjoy playing the piano, singing, crocheting, cooking, gardening, reading, painting, and more. My everyday living is very full and busy. I'm getting older and sometimes find it hard to keep up with all that I have to do. Life is good in spite of the trials. The Spirit guides and helps me. I am grateful for my many blessings.
I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I had good parents who taught me the gospel along with great teachers and leaders who inspired me with their good examples and wisdom. As I grew older, I wanted to gain a personal testimony of the things that I had been taught. Eventually, because of my study, prayer, and reading of the Book of Mormon the Spirit witnessed to me many truths. I know the Church is true, that Jesus is the Christ - the Son of God. He is my Savior, Redeemer, and King. I know Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I know Thomas S. Monson is a prophet today. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I am inspired daily as I read from its pages. The Spirit feeds my soul and strengthens me through difficult times and uplifts me to greater heights and understanding. By following the Savior and living the truths He taught, I continue to grow in understanding and knowledge. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true and living Church on the earth today. I'm so grateful to be a part of it and to have the opportunity to share it. I know it is true.
I try to always set an example of the things that I believe. I make it clear to my children and grandchildren that their good behavior can help those around them be better. Setting a good example puts you in a position of service. By simply living the principles you know to be true you become a leader of righteousness. Other seekers of truth will be attracted to you and want to know of your joy. Christ is the healer of our souls and salvation is offered to all. I pray my life is a daily witness of this understanding.
