Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Here are three things I wish people knew about me: 1. One of my greatest talents is connecting people and ideas 2. I have a great relationship with my siblings and parents 3. Caring for people and finding out what makes them tick is my passion

Why I am a Mormon

In a word: Fear. I'm afraid of what type of person I would be without the Mormon Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm afraid of what things I would be passionately pursuing, and how many people I would hurt along the way. I'm afraid of disappointing my Father in Heaven. In another word: Love. I love the person I am becoming with help from the Mormon Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the things I'm passionately pursuing, and how I can positively help so many along the way. I love making my Heavenly Father proud and feeling his love in my life.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I try my hardest to read the scriptures and pray to Heavenly Father every day. I also attend worship services at church every week and I try to attend the Holy Temple weekly as well. This I consider my daily and weekly devotion - my religious constant. After I've prepared myself with my daily devotion, I try to follow this motto: "never be too busy to help an old lady cross the street." Basically I consciously work hard to help as many people as I can.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Mostly through personal funds. My parents helped me with most of my mission. Some missionaries are incredible enough to pay their own way completely. I really admire them. Some need help from generous members who donate extra money to the cause. None of it comes from the Church itself. That's what makes Mormon Missionaries so incredible. Not only are they sacrificing two years of their lives, they are paying for it as well. But don't worry...the payment, though not monetary, is well worth it. Show more Show less
