Hi I'm Pam

I grew up in Kentucky. I am married. I have two daughters. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Kentucky. I joined the church in 1980 with my mom and brother. I was 15 years old at the time. I now live in Florida. I have two grown daughters, ages 26 and 20. I have been married for nearly 22 years. I work in a beauty salon as a receptionist.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the church. It has brought meaning and purpose in my life. I absolutely love being a member of the church. I love the sense of family no matter where you attend. It makes me so happy to know I am a faithful member!!

How I live my faith

I choose to be an example to everyone. I am currently working with the 5-6 years olds at in our sunday school program called Primary. I absolutely love all my babies. I have 6 in my class. I have served in many areas at church. The last calling I had was with the adult women in the church. It was a joy to be around all my sisters at a time in my life where I dearly needed them!!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

President Monson said, "In addition to helping members of the Church through our welfare program, we also sponsor humanitarian relief and developmental projects around the world to help those in need, regardless of their faith. From 1985 through the end of 2010, the Church has provided, through its Humanitarian Aid fund, essential help to the needy in 178 countries and territories. With these funds, which have been generously donated by its members and which number in the millions of dollars, the Church provides essential help to people in times of natural disasters, famine, sickness and events that can strike anyone, anywhere. Clothing and shoes are provided to those who are without. Quilts and blankets bring warmth to those who are cold. Kits are filled to meet the needs of newborn babies and their mothers. Bags are filled with supplies for school children. Hygiene kits help to maintain cleanliness and health in emergency situations. Show more Show less

What is the Word of Wisdom that Mormons talk about?

The Word of Wisdom was revelation brought to us through Joseph Smith From Chirst. Joseph was concerned ahout the use of tobacco in meetings with the brethren. He went to Heavenly Father in prayer and inquired on it. The revelation he received can be found in Doctrine and Covenants 89. We should avoid coffee, tea, tobacco, alcohol, and that we should eat grains, fruits, and vegatables and also eat meat sparingly. Show more Show less
