Hi I'm Lee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the love of my life! We meet through a blind date, quickly became best friend (that is when you you need to watch out) and the rest is history. She is still my best friend and I love being with her. I am also a father of 5. My oldest is in High School and the youngest is in preschool with the rest scattered in between. Needless to say, we are busy and love the sound of happy kids in the home! I am a professional pilot by occupation and really enjoy my job. I am often at awe by the beauty that I see as I travel above this world that God created for us. I love the outdoors. Fly fishing is my favorite past time. I enjoy the sounds and smells of nature. The babbling of a river, the rustling of leaves in the wind and the cries of an eagle all bring a calmness to my sole. Also the sent of evergreen with a splash of damp earth and a faint touch of campfire is the best potpourri that I have ever experienced.

Why I am a Mormon

I am the first born child of a Dutch father and an English mother, both had immigrated to the United States with their families. In essence, each family had come to live the American dream and to be closer to the LDS Church. Therefore, I was born to parents that are proud Americans and active in the Mormon church. Some might think that this is the reason that I am now a member of this church. They are right on the account that I was introduced to the church by parents, but ultimately it has been my choice to stay an active member of this faith. When it comes right down to it, I am a Mormon because it makes me happy! I truly believe that by abiding by the principles and commandments given to me from a loving God through the scriptures, prophets and personal revelation, that I have more joy and peace in my life than I would have otherwise. Knowing where I came from before this existence, my purpose of being here now and that there is life after death gives comfort and direction to my life.

How I live my faith

I try my best each day to be an ambassador of Christ. I strive to treat my family and others with kindness. I think often of the Savior and the wonderful blessings that He has given to all mankind through His teaching, example, and most importantly through His sufferings and crucifixion. I endeavor to abide by the principles, commandments and laws that Jesus gave us. I also enjoy serving and helping my family, friends, neighbors and community.
