Hi I'm Nicki

I am from Idaho, raised in the LDS (Mormon) Church.

About Me

My husband and I have been married 23+ years. We have five children, two boys who have served their missions and three girls who keep us very busy! I teach fitness classes and my husband is an avid archer. We love the outdoors and teaching our kids the importance of hard work and staying physically active.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised a Mormon, I have had to find out if I believed in the teachings on my own. My husband was Catholic and had many questions that at first I couldn't answer. I am not saying I know everything, just that I have learned how to recognize that my Heavenly Father knows me; He knows my husband and children personally, and that He will guide us when we have questions that need answered.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the adult women on Sundays. I think it is the dream calling! Recently I started my blog in an attempt to have another avenue of teaching my children the Stories of Jesus and how those stories relate to us. I am sure I have learned more than they have, but maybe as I improve my understanding, they may be touched by the Spirit of Christ in their lives also.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Nicki
I guess the best way to answer this question is to explain why I personally need a Savior. First, he gives me hope. I have had many times in my life where I have felt alone and troubled. Each time, if I have asked my Heavenly Father in prayer if He loves me, I have received comfort in a way that only can be explained as divine. I have felt the comfort of the Savior's love envelope me. I know he lives! He has experienced life on earth along with its trials and joys. He understands my pain and is there to guide me through.
