Hi I'm Hallie

I'm from the USA, I'm a wife and Mother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a Stay-At-Home Mom now for 14 yrs. I love spending time with my family. I have fun volunteering at my childrens schools. I enjoy making crafts, scrapbooking and card making. I love working in my yard and cleaning my house. My favorite place to go is to the mountains and go camping.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the true Church. I was baptized when I was eight. At that time my family didn't attend church often. Subsequently I fell away. All the while the desire to marry in the Temple never ceased. I carried that desire with me through my teen and young adult years. When I was 14 my Mother passed away from cancer. This gave me an even stronger desire to be sealed with my Family for time and all eternity. It wasn't until my nine year old daughter asked her Grandma to take her to church, because she had a desire to go. Having her gone on Sunday made me realize that I was the one who should take her. So, I along with my nine year old and my 3 year old and my Mother-in-law, went to church. Shortly after I received a calling in the Young Women’s and the Bishop had a calling to extend to my husband, who at the time was not attending church at all. I was sure he would say no, but he knew in his heart it was what his Father in Heaven wanted him to do. Later that year my husband was able to baptize my nine year old little girl and as a family we went to the temple and were sealed to one another forever. Now we enjoy many blessing of being active members of the church. We love our callings and the opportunity to serve. I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven to help me to keep the desire to go to the Temple and for my little girl's desire to attend church even when her family wasn't.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in the Primary (children ages 3-11) as the secretary. I take roll, make a monthly newsletter, make invitations for quartely activites, keep an updated birthday list, help the other leaders, ect. I'm also the Activity Day Leader. For this calling I meet twice a month at the church with my assistant and the girls in our ward ages 8-11. Our goal is to help the girls pass of their "Faith in God" requirements. We get to plan and do many fun things. We even got to go to a scout camp for the day. Our favorite part was paddling around the lake in a boat. I serve on the Enrichment committee as well. We get to plan activites for the women in our ward and whom ever else they would like to invite. We currently meet once a month. We just completed a fun activity where we put together neat ideas on how to keep your kids entertained for the summer. For future events we plan to learn dutch oven cooking and emergency prepardness.I love being a part of this committee. Attending these monthly activites is where I felt most comfortable when I was making my way back to attending church.
