Hi I'm Doug

I'm a father of six, I'm a Family Physician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

To keep it short and sweet, I love my Savior, my family, playing volleyball, watching sports, listening to music and podcasts, playing the piano, watching movies, reading, writing, and toying with business ideas.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with many choice experiences that have provided me with an undeniable knowledge that the true Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth. I am eternally grateful to a kind Father in Heaven for this knowledge and understanding. Let it be known that these experiences have helped me realize that not only is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints true, but it can’t not be true. Without it I would be lost in many more ways than one. From the outside, members of the LDS Church may appear to be misguided. However, once you have learned of its truthfulness for yourself, through a powerful witness of the Spirit, it makes all the sense in the world. You can know for yourself, and I invite you to read the Book of Mormon, especially Moroni 10 verse 4 and Ether 4 verse 11, to learn how you can get to know this for yourself. Until you do, you'll never know what you are missing.

How I live my faith

I am fortunate to have chosen a profession that allows me to help others on a daily basis. A favorite part of my job is helping people achieve a healthy lifestyle and weight. In Church, my wife and I currently serve together in the nursery, taking care of precious toddlers ages 1-3, and trying to help them get to know their Savior from an early age. I have also served in several positions that have allowed me the privilege of working with the youth. I have enjoyed trying to help them learn lessons I wish I knew when I was that age.
